With five daughters at home, man kills his wife for not having a son

Bareilly, UP: Five young girls -the littlest is just three years old - were at home when their father killed their mother at their home in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

He blamed his wife for not giving him a son.  After a fight on Tuesday night, he strangled her.

Relatives say he had been an abusive husband for many years.  His five daughters are between the ages of three and 13.

The father is missing.  The girls are being looked after by their maternal uncle.
