Appu Singh of Sony Pictures has said that the collections for The Amazing Spider-Man have been top notch in Andhra Pradesh. The film was released in about 200 theatres in the 2D and 3D versions in Telugu, Hindi and English. "It shows the popularity of the Spider-Man series here. Our movie is creating new records in the State," Appu said in a press statement.
Directed by Marc Webb, the film features Irfan Khan in a special role. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Chris Zylka are part of the star cast. Music is by James Horner. This 136-minutes-long film is releasing amid high expectations across the world.
Though there's only one major fight in the 4 issue storyline, there's plenty of violence and tense, gritty action to sate the appetite of anyone who thinks Spidey books are too soft.
